I just today started an playthrough as the Ottoman empire with the Historical project mod!
Early phase 1836-60 In the start we`re already at war with Libya,i quickly defeat them and annexed them in about 2 years. (they refused to accept peace offers so i had to annex every province with 13 troops) Later on i honestly didnt have anything to do until i gained repay debts cbs on random south american nations. I instanly decleared war on them but they sent a peace almost instantly. Then the intresting war with egypt started,Russia (ally) and my puppets joined and so did the United kingdom against Egypt .The war lasted until the point i could get all my cores from Egypt and puppet them(i didnt accept the surrender event,-10 prestige) During the 50s a crisis occured, grecce demanding its cores. It was me,Russia, The uk and Austria vs France,Prussia and the USA somehow. The crisis escelated to a war and my side with massive struggle won.I managed to take parts of French north africa and cut Prussia down in size! During the 60s i fougt alot of random wars.Managed to annex Persia plus somw random arab countries and parts of Hejdas (Mecca and Medina) I lost most of my allies though. I gained tons of Prestige from researches Now currently its the 70's and i annexed my Armenian,Kurdish and eastern turkish spheres who had Ottoman cores. I recently did an Genocide wich removed a minority (dont want to say who lol) but gained shittons of infamy. i'm scared someone will decleare a contaiment war on me and others will follow suit In the Future i'm planning to genocide a religious minority and Trouble the Europeans in africa I'm currently the 4th Great power,i have a massive army, and a medium navy and tons of prestige. I'm lacking in industry and have some economical issues mostly with debt.

I started off winning the war against tripoli and then reclaiming some cores, Sinai and another province from Egypt. My score is not increasing quickly and I can't afford a standing powerful army. Mostly I'm trying to get my tech and get literacy up to scratch so I can industrialize without losing any of my starting provinces. I would like to reclaim all old Ottoman land as well as taking Oman, Yemen, hedjaz, nejd and all of Egypt.
My first target is using two national foci on increasing bureaucrats to 100% admin efficiency and then 4% clergy. Occasionally boosting soldier pops as needed. Once I get to 50% literacy I will begin industrializing my most populous regions with two foci while pumping clergy with the rest.
My first war target is going to be Egypt eating them in successive wars. I'm hoping that by taking Sinai nobody will sphere them. Next is going to be ripping Greece out of great Britain. Then using conquest on them. After that I will begin conquering the minor nations surrounding me while gearing up for the colonial race. I'm hoping to be in place for it by 1870.
My tech order has been Adobe flash builder 4.5 download.
Does anyone have any tips about pursuing an ottoman run?
Also any tips for hpm? I want to get into it but the scramble for Africa seems really different which had turned me off from the mod in the past.

Victoria: An Empire Under the Sun, affectionately known as 'Vicky' among its fans, is a complicated Real-Time Strategy / Turn-Based Strategy4X game created and published in 2003 by Paradox Interactive.
Chronologically, it follows its sister series Europa Universalis and precedes its other sibling, the Hearts of Iron series. Vicky starts in 1836 and ending in 1920 (or 1936, if you bought the Expansion Pack). The game is noted for being arguably the most complicated of the Paradox Interactive games, dealing not only with war but also with an impressive economic and political system. It is noted as one of the better aversions of the Command & Conquer Economy.
The game was noticeably buggy at release, but some patches, the Expansion Pack (which radically changed the way the economy works) and some great work by modders have made the game far more stable.

Starcraft 2 cheats vs ai. The game covers the Victorian and Edwardian eras, beginning a year before Victoria took the throne and ending shortly before the death of George V. As it displays the entire globe, it also covers such periods as The American Civil War, World War I, Imperial Germany, the Meiji Restoration, and The Roaring '20s. Since an important part of the game is European Imperialism, Darkest Africa comes into play at times.

The game is (in)famous for being almost incomprehensible to newbies, due to the vast array of interlocking factors, especially in politics and economy and how those two affect each other. The effect of these is often to create a rather fascinating effect where as an autocracy you are desperately trying to keep popular support from overwhelming you while a democracy has to take it relatively easy to avoid reactionary or dictatorial insurrections.

A sequel to the original game, titled Victoria 2, was released on August 13th, 2010, turning this Paradox title into a new series. Two major expansion packs have been released:
Development on Victoria 2 ceased with patch 3.04 in January 2016 and Paradox has not conclusively stated whether there will be a Victoria III. The majority of dev investment since then has gone to its sister titles Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron (whose fourth installment released in 2017), and Stellaris.
